One of the key 2010 trends that we recently relayed as noted by the Food Channel was for personalization of products. That trend is playing out in a unique new venture that uses personalized, custom-packaged foods for pooches and felines.

RedMoon Custom Pet Food offers packaged pet foods personalized for the specific nutritional needs of individual pets and delivered to their home via UPS. In fact, owners can even have each custom-blended bag named after their furry friend. The company says that soon pet owners will even be able to choose a photograph of their pet to print on each bag.

Factors that consumers input factors for formulation include breed, age, gender, size, energy level of the pet, and kibble size. Every bag of RedMoon is traceable with a manufacturing batch code and date from the company’s packaging operations in Minnesota and Alberta, Canada.
