Premier Foods, the UK’s largest food company, launched a new lower-sodium version of its iconic Oxo brand bouillon in polyethylene terephthalate (PET) jars. The jars, from Graham Packaging, mimic the familiar glass cube used for regular Oxo bouillon cubes and granules. The 375-millimeter container is translucent enough to allow consumers to see the bouillon granules, which have 25% less sodium than regular Oxo granules. They are sold in three flavors (beef, chicken and vegetable), with color-coded closures and labels.
