Machinery improves manufacturing processes in Matthews facility.

Exopack Advanced Coatings(www.exopack.com), a global specialist in contract coating, laminating and finishing flexible materials announces it has purchased a state of the art coating machine, expanding Exopack’s capacity and capability. 

The addition of this latest cleanroom precision coater brings to our customers advanced drying and curing capabilities, as well as the ability to apply multiple coatings in a single pass. This will allow Exopack to offer quality, yield and efficiency improvements that will take our world leading contract manufacturing capability to a new and exciting level.

This additional coating asset will allow Exopack to continue its aggressive growth strategy, focusing on new market platforms as well as its present market segments of Toll Coating, Electronics, Conductive Films, Pre-Press, Optical Coated Films, Medical, Security and Digital Storage Media.

The coater will be located at the Matthews, NC site in a purpose built clean room allowing full capability web flip, UV curing, camera inspection, three coating heads, expanded oven capacity and many more features opening great opportunities for our present and future customers.

Machine installation is targeted for mid-September and will be fully commissioned by Q4 of 2012. An aggressive timeline emphasizes the growth path that Exopack are focusing on whilst supplying highly technical and focused customer support.
