Finding the Right Skills Now - Critical Need for Mechatronics

In a recently released study by The Manufacturing Institute (www.themanufacturinginstitute.org), over 80% of manufacturers report they cannot find people to fill their skilled production jobs. As a result, there are over half-a-million manufacturing jobs open right now. Responding to this talent crisis, and the need to create jobs in this country, PMMI (www.pmmi.org) has developed a series of nationally-recognized Mechatronics Certificates to help identify skilled workers. This session will look at the impact of these certificates on employers, potential employees, packaging education and the manufacturing industry as a whole.
