Paper & paperboard revenue in North America

Research and Markets announces the addition of the "Paper & Paperboard in North America" report to their offering.

The paper and paperboard market measures a country or region's total use of paper and paperboard. Paper and paperboard include newsprint, printing and writing paper, packaging paper, household and sanitary paper, and other paper and paperboard. Volumes represent the consumption of paper and paperboard in metric tonnes, and values are calculated using average annual selling price of paper and paperboard per metric tonne multiplied by consumption volumes. Any currency conversions used in the creation of this report have been calculated using constant annual average 2011 exchange rates.

The North American paper & paperboard market had total revenue of $77.7 billion in 2011, representing a compound annual rate of change (CARC) of -3% between 2007 and 2011.

Market consumption volumes decreased with a CARC of -4% between 2007-2011, to reach a total of 89 million metric tonnes in 2011.

The performance of the market is forecast to accelerate, with an anticipated compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 0.7% for the five-year period 2011 - 2016, which is expected to drive the market to a value of $80.4 billion by the end of 2016.
