Industry’s first Greek cream cheese debuts

Franklin Foods announces product expansion to over 500 Walmart stores.

Greek cream cheese debuts at Walmart healthy food packagingFranklin Foods, the fastest-growing cream cheese producer in the world, announces that Green Mountain Farms Greek Cream Cheese will be available at over 500 Walmart Stores in the Eastern US beginning in January of 2013. Green Mountain Farms Greek Cream Cheese is currently available at nearly 1000 retailers including Stop & Shop, Giant Food Stores, Giant and Giant Eagle in the Northeast, mid-west and mid-Atlantic regions.


The news of the expanded distribution is perfectly timed to take advantage of a renewed focus on better eating choices for the New Year.  Franklin Food’s Greek Cream Cheese 8-ounce bar can be used in any recipe calling for cream cheese. Franklin Food’s Greek Cream Cheese is also available in convenient 8-ounce and 12-ounce  soft tubs and 8-ounce whipped tubs.

We are proud to support people’s healthy habits by providing a delicious and nutritious alternative to traditional cream cheese” says, Jon Gutknecht, CEO of Franklin Foods.  “And now, being more accessible through our retail partnership with Walmart, means we can reach even more consumers looking to make better choices and improve their eating habits.” 

Green Mountain Farms Greek Cream Cheese is located in the dairy case in the cream cheese section at retailers for the suggested retail prices of $2.29 - $3.29.
