Hirzel Canning Company & Farms, a fourth-generation, family owned and operated company and producers of the Dei Fratelli brand, announces the addition of Truly Tomato! and Truly Veggie! Juices to its extensive line of tomato products. Consumers can find the ready-to-drink juices on their grocers’ shelves beginning spring 2013.
The two latest products from Dei Fratelli are a state-of-the art expansion of the brand’s line of freshly canned tomatoes. Truly Tomato! and Truly Veggie! are not-from-concentrate juices packaged in convenient, reclosable cartons. The juices are not made from tomato paste or water thus resulting in the fresh tomato flavor that Dei Fratelli consumers have come to expect from the brand. The innovative carton provides an environmentally-friendly and convenient package. Because the carton is comprised of seventy-five percent paperboard, which is 100% renewable, it has earned the certification from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
Not only are Truly Tomato! and Truly Veggie! packed with fresh flavor in a convenient carton, but they are also naturally delicious and healthy. Each glass of juice provides for two servings of vegetables- without any preservatives or artificial flavors.
“Truly Veggie! and Truly Tomato! make getting the nutritional value of tomatoes much easier for consumers,” says Steve Hirzel, president, Hirzel Canning Company & Farms. “Dei Fratelli tomatoes are grown on family farms in the fertile Lake Erie Basin and transported only a short distance to preserve the flavor- making them simply, ‘Field to Carton.’ We are pleased to offer our not-from-concentrate tomato and vegetable juices in this eco-friendly, convenient carton for our consumers.”
For 90 years, the Hirzel family has been canning only the freshest vine-ripened tomatoes for their wide assortment of canned tomatoes, pasta and pizza sauces, salsas and juices showcased by their signature Dei Fratelli brand.
