RPC Containers Corby (www.rpc-corby.co.uk) has developed a custom-designed squeezable 300ml bottle for a range of accompaniments from General Mills’ famous market-leading Old El Paso brand. The multi-layer polypropylene bottle is delivering an ambient shelf life of 18 months for Old El Paso Chunky Salsa, Chunky Guacamole and Soured Cream Topping.

The distinctive ‘waisted’ bottle shape creates an attractive appearance on shelf and provides easy handling and squeezing for the consumer, as well as accurate portion control.  The top down design also ensures that product is always easy to access and the valved cap features different orifices to suit the density of each product.

The bottle offers a wide decoration area for the distinctive self-adhesive labels, with colorful graphics and the familiar Old El Paso logo on a yellow background which complements the colors of the caps to maximize on-shelf presence.

The multi-layer polypropylene structure incorporates a layer of EVOH to provide an effective barrier against oxygen ingress and deliver the required extended shelf life for the products.

In addition, the bottles are light weight and shatterproof, valuable safety benefits in kitchen and foodservice environments.
