evian Natural Spring Water debuts new bottle design in U.S.

evian redesignevian® Natural Spring Water unveils its new identity. For the first time in over a decade, evian has redesigned its bottle. Like its award-winning bottle of 14 years ago, this design represents a major breakthrough, fitting for the water that first defined the U.S.'s premium water segment in the early 1980s.

Sleeker and with cleaner lines, the new evian bottle leans on transparency to celebrate its contents: evian Natural Spring Water, a distinctly pure water, as nature intended. The bottle sports a "label-less" look. Its front features a simplified, elegant reduction of the previous logo design. A panorama of mountains celebrates the water's source in a corner of the French Alps…a region protected by the farming community to ensure evian water maintains its pure, natural form. The bottle's simple shape and beveled mountain ridges echo the simplicity and regality of the water's home. The brand's special story is told on the back of the bottle, and "evian" is carved into the base as a playful design touch.

"We're very excited. Our new bottle allows evian's honest and natural personality to make a new connection with consumers. evian has been the icon of the category for three decades, yet its vibe and skin had become dated. We wanted to remake the brand so consumers would be proud to once again call it their favorite water. It's a sharp new look, and we can't wait to see it here, there, and everywhere," says Eric O'Toole, president of Danone Waters of North America.

Discovered in 1789, and bottled since 1826, evian water traces its roots to the birth of the French Alps. Each drop of evian begins as rain or snow high in the pristine peaks of the French Alps, and then travels through a vast mineral aquifer deep within the mountains before being bottled directly from the spring in Evian-Les-Bains. This unique, 15-year journey is the secret to evian's purity and unique, natural taste. It's also a journey that gives it a rich, unique mineral and electrolyte content.

 The new bottle design is available in the 500ml size, with additional formats slated to debut in the following 12 months.

There the beer is made and packaged in 16-ounce cans, bound together in 4-packs and palletized for distribution. We went on a tour of the facility and got an in depth look at the total process.
