At PACK EXPO 2013 (Las Vegas, Sept. 23-25), Matrox Imaging will demonstrate vision hardware and software for packaging and processing. Visitors to booth C-5111 will see two live demonstrations.

In an application designed by Inventek Engineering, a systems integrator for master distributor Valin Corporation, a Matrox Iris GT smart camera and Matrox Design Assistant (DA) 3.0 smart camera software will be used to inspect bottles presented by a robot. DA is the flowchart-based integrated development environment (IDE) for the Matrox Iris GT smart camera line which lets users easily create their application's flowchart and HMI and take projects from concept to completion in record time.

The new Matrox 4Sight GPm industrial imaging computer will be used to preview Matrox Design Assistant 4.0 multi-platform vision software. The upcoming DA 4.0 release not only works with Matrox Iris GT smart cameras to run packaging inspection projects, but also any PC with a GigE Vision® camera.

Matrox 4Sight GPm boasts a fanless design that reduces maintenance costs and downtime by eliminating the need to clean or replace an air filter, or replace a worn out fan. The system is equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet and four SuperSpeed USB ports for connecting to the full range of available GigE Vision and USB3 Vision® cameras. The Gigabit Ethernet ports support Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) to streamline cabling.
