Scholle Corporation (scholle.com) and Innovative Packaging Network (IPN, ipn-group.com), both global leaders in performance packaging solutions, jointly announced that they have agreed to combine their businesses to form a new diverse performance packaging company, employing over 2,000 people globally. The combination of IPN and Scholle will provide performance-based packaging solutions from its multiple manufacturing locations in North America, Europe, Australia, Latin America, China, and India to the world’s largest brands who, in turn, serve millions of people on a daily basis.

IPN is known for the innovative design and high-quality manufacture of packaging solutions entailing various types of flexible packaging components including connectors, spouts, and pumps for pouches and bag-in-box systems. IPN has been successful in developing and supplying a novel range of packaging products for the infant formula sector.

Scholle Corporation, through its packaging group Scholle Packaging, is known as the largest and most diverse provider of bag-in-box solutions world-wide. Scholle’s global footprint, focus on aseptic packaging solutions and filling equipment, along with innovative dispensing fitments has made it the leader in food, beverage, and non-food bag-in- box packaging.

“IPN’s mission is to become the world’s leading packaging component provider utilizing design innovation and high-quality, clean-room manufacturing to enable the growth of pouch systems and healthcare solutions. This makes IPN a great complimentary fit with Scholle. We are excited to harness the synergies that this combination brings to the flexible packaging market and to take novel solutions to our current customers and on to new retail and institutional applications,” says Scholle corporation chairman, Rob Scholle.

“Scholle’s long history of success in creating valuable, innovative system solutions such as barrier films, dispensing fitments, and aseptic filling equipment for the beverage, food, wine, and non-food industries is parallel to IPN’s dedication to providing our international customers with creative ways to increase their profitability with sustainable, smart packaging solutions,” explains Laurens Last, IPN’s Founder.
