PaperWorks Industries, Inc. (PWI, paperworksindustries.com) announces its Philadelphia, PA and Wabash, IN mills have achieved certification under the Recycled Paperboard Alliance’s (RPA-100%) newly launched certification program focused on substantiating the recycled fiber claim associated with the manufacture of 100% recycled paperboard.

The 100% Recycled Paperboard Alliance (RPA-100%) is a non-profit, independent trade group representing the leading manufacturers in the recycled paperboard industry. The RPA-100% symbol appears on billions of packages annually and allows consumers to know that the paperboard used in the packaging of products is produced with 100% recovered fiber.

Jerry Tassone, senior director of sales and marketing at PaperWorks’ says, “We are proud of this achievement. By using the RPA-100%’s trademark logo, we will be able to visibly communicate to consumers the 100% recycled content of our packaging, which is key seeing that a packaging’s recycled content and recyclability are fundamental environmental considerations for today’s consumer.”
