X-Men collector’s edition packages debut as 7th feature film arrives in theaters

FLIPZ Chocolate Covered Pretzels Teams With X-Men Superheroes

DeMet’s Candy Company, makers of FLIPZ® chocolate covered pretzels, has partnered with 20th Century Fox on a campaign tied to the upcoming release of X-Men: Days of Future Past. The brand will introduce Collector’s Edition versions of fan favorite FLIPZ products just in time for the film’s theatrical release on May 23rd 2014.

Each resealable package will feature imagery from the movie and popular X-Men characters. For a limited time, these popular, everyday FLIPZ flavors have been transformed into Mutant Milk Chocolate, Wolverine White Fudge, Mystique Chocolate Mint and Magneto Dark Chocolate.

“We are very excited that the Collector’s Edition will begin appearing this month wherever 4-5 oz. FLIPZ packages are sold,” says Jim Gerbo, EVP of DeMet’s Candy, “and fans should also be on the lookout for special X-Men: Days of Future Past themed quarter-pallet and floor displays of FLIPZ® in select retailers.”

Additionally, consumers can enter for a chance to win an X-MEN X-TREME ADVENTURE TRIP to Iceland where they could try to summon the magnetic Northern Lights, blast through spouting hot geysers, turn their surroundings to ice, and use colossal strength to drive a 4x4 across a glacier.

Weekly winners will receive prize packs complete with X-Men and FLIPZ products. This sweepstakes will begin shortly at DeMetsFLIPZ.com/XMEN.

FLIPZ 4-5-ounce X-Men Collector’s Edition Packaging is available now through the end of summer 2014 for a suggest retail price of $2.29
