Intelligrated hires new sales engineer for southern regional operations

Customer relations and sales veteran to manage key accounts and develop new business

Intelligrated (intelligrated.com), a leading North American-based automated material handling solutions provider, announces the appointment of Tommy Vacarella as sales engineer for its southern regional operations, based in Alpharetta, GA.

Vacarella brings more than 30 years of customer relations and sales experience to Intelligrated. In this role, he works to ensure customers receive maximum benefit from their material handling systems, while serving as a key liaison throughout the concepting, engineering, project management and systems implementation phases. Additionally, Vacarella keeps customers current on the latest material handling trends and identifies solutions that solve their business needs.

“Tommy’s strong business development skills and ability to drive customer satisfaction proves that he shares our strong emphasis on the customer experience,” says Chris Barber, vice president, southern regional operations.

Vacarella’s business development responsibilities include identifying new opportunities to enhance productivity through automation or system upgrades. He reports to Howard Hammer, sales manager, southern regional operations.

“I am pleased to join the Intelligrated team of automated material handling experts,” says Vacarella. “Intelligrated shares my philosophy of providing outstanding customer service and I look forward to helping our customers understand the benefits and maximize the potential of our system solutions.”

Before joining Intelligrated, Vacarella held sales and business management positions in the consumer packaged goods industry, gaining key insights into customer needs in supply chain and logistics. He holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing with a business minor from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Intelligrated’s southern regional operations provide sales, engineering and project management support for companies located in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee. The group recently relocated to a new 54,000-square-foot facility to expand its services and accommodate continued growth in the area.
