Following the success of its first Congress in Tokyo the Active & Intelligent Packaging association has announced plans for the second event in 2013. The Association has reached an agreement with Messe Nurnberg to run their event at the FACHPACK exhibition, from 23-25 September 2013.
In a new development, an exhibition area has been created so that Active and Intelligent Packaging suppliers and technology and service companies can demonstrate their latest innovations. “It was always intended that the AIPIA Congress becomes a ‘hands on’ event’ for the sector. This will speed up the commercialization and implementation of A&IP in the marketplace” according Mr de Ferrante, AIPIA’s director.
The 2013 Congress will be structured to appeal to everyone involved in A&IP as workshops will focus on specialist areas including: Supply Chain Efficiency; Retail Solutions; Increasing Sales; Innovative Materials; Anti-Counterfeiting; Pharmaceutical Compliance; Food Waste and Nanotechnologies.
Already, with more than 300 members, ranging from major multinational end-users and key packaging suppliers to specialist developers of A&IP technologies, AIPIA is considered the ‘voice’ of Active and Intelligent Packaging worldwide. Its central aim is to ensure the development and commercialization of A&IP across all sectors.
