Graphic Packaging Int'l completes Sierra Pacific Packaging acquisition

Added location services West Coast customers and moves GPI into the craft beer and litho-lam wine box markets.


Graphic Packaging Int’l, Inc., Marietta, GA, a subsidiary of Graphic Packaging Holding Co., announced in late April 29 that it completed its acquisition of substantially all of the assets and business of Sierra Pacific Packaging, Inc., a producer of folding cartons, beverage carriers and corrugated boxes for the consumer packaged goods industry.

"This is a unique opportunity that provides us with a strategic location to service customers on the West Coast and allows us to participate inthe fast-growing craft beer and litho-lam wine box markets,” said Graphic Packaging CEO David Scheible.  “We are pleased that the majority of the Sierra management team and employees will be joining Graphic, ensuring a smooth transition.”

Graphic Packaging Int’l., Inc., a subsidiary of Graphic Packaging Holding Co., is a provider of paperboard packaging solutions for a wide variety of products to food, beverage and other consumer products companies. The company is one of the largest producers of folding cartons as well as coated-recycled boxboard and specialty bag packaging.
