Hammer packaging earns gold at 2014 Best of the Web Awards

Hammer Packaging (hammerpackaging.com) announces that their website, designed and developed by Archer Communications, received the highest honor at the Rochester Business Journal’s 2014 Best of the Web Awards ceremony, winning gold as the best overall website. Additionally, the site took first place in the manufacturing category.

Hundreds of websites were nominated via reader submissions to the Rochester Business Journal. 39 finalists were evaluated based on website navigability, usability, functionality, content, art and visual design, and standards compliance.

“We are proud of the new HammerPackaging.com,” says Jim Hammer, president & CEO of Hammer Packaging. “This website is the result of a strong collaboration between the dedicated teams at Hammer and Archer.”

HammerPackaging.com features a fresh design, modern, scalable navigation system, and a user-friendly interface. This site is also mobile-responsive, meaning it adapts to a user’s viewing device.

“[It’s] A beautiful and inviting site that shows off the wide variety of products Hammer makes and shows them in the best light,” says Mike Johanson, a member of the Department of Communication at RIT and a Best of Web judge. “Of the many sites reviewed for this contest, this one has some of the best use of images.”
