Industry leaders and business managers will be heading to Warsaw for the 2018 Global Dairy Congress on 19-21 June in an upbeat mood. The event's theme is "Spreading the message" as dairy reclaims the high ground on consumer health. Sustainability and innovation will be other key topics.
The Congress is aimed at manufacturers, suppliers, customers and advisers with an emphasis on market opportunities. The programme includes speakers from all over Europe, China, Japan, Latin America and the United States, with extensive time for informal networking and discussion:
- Regional market overview from Danone and IGD
- Key market opportunities with Rabobank, Dairy Farmers of America, Feihe and Tetra Pak
- Global market dynamics with contributions from Yili, Organic Milk Suppliers Co-operative and AgriPoint
- Innovation insights from Zenith and Meiji
- Changing sustainability landscape with Bord Bia and Arla
- New products and concepts from BAM, Know Brainer Foods and Nourish Kefir
Another highlight is the presentation of the World Dairy Innovation Awards at a gala dinner on 20 June.
"Healthy choice and added value are undeniably key drivers for the global dairy sector, but competition from alternatives and sustainability challenges are becoming increasingly important," commented Richard Hall, Chairman of global food and drink experts Zenith, which is organising the Congress. "Spreading the message about dairy credentials is vital to the industry's future".
The Congress is also supported by leading industry suppliers Bericap and Tetra Pak as Gold sponsors.
