A new “home draft” system that amounts to a miniature keg for the refrigerator is being rolled out nationally by MillerCoors. The Coors Light Home Draft package holds 1.5 gallons of beer in a plastic keg inside a box with a dispensing spigot. The spigot is recessed within one end of the box, with snowy mountain graphics that wrap around it in a three-sided panorama. The box is sized to fit inside the average refrigerator. MillerCoors tested the package in 2009 and is introducing it nationally. It currently is available in Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Texas and Wisconsin, with more markets to be added this year.
